"Appeals are for when you believe that the trial
court has made an error.
Because the results of appeals are written and
published and referred to over and over again by
other lawyers and other courts, these decisions
are critically important to all society, not
just the parties involved. It is
critically important for the appellate litigator
to be able to understand and explain the most
complex issues clearly and concisely.
We have represented parties in front of the
Virginia Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of
Appeal for the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th and D.C.
Circuits and the D.C. Court of Appeals.
Most of these cases were referred to us by other
lawyers who handled the cases at the lower court
level."
